Cover-to-Cover Book Club

Cover-to-Cover Book club is a program for children in grades 3,4, and 5.  The club will meet the first Tuesday of the month September through May at 3:30 p.m.  Each month a book is chosen to read and discuss.  The goal is to get students to engage with what they are reading and to begin thinking critically about what they have read while still having fun. Kiwanis Read Around the World

Carey Kiwanis Club & Dorcas Carey Public Library present:  Read Around the World!  Children ages 0-13 can participate.  Sign-ups are held at the library’s circulation desks.  Any child that reads, or listens to, four (4) books will receive a ticket to the Kiwanis Pancake Day on Tuesday, March 7th.  They will also receive a book to add to their home library.

Book Folding

Carmen Coppler will be showing off her unique talent of book folding.  Book Folding is the art of folding the pages within books to create 3D shapes. You can do relatively simple ones like a diamond or a heart, or super complicated ones like a bulldog silhouette or patterns done on all three sides of the pages.  Be sure to call the library at 419-396-7921 or 419-788-2768 to reserve your spots today!
