Carmen Coppler will be showing off her unique talent of book folding. Book Folding is the art of folding the pages within books to create 3D shapes. You can do relatively simple ones like a diamond or a heart, or super complicated ones like a bulldog silhouette or patterns done on all three sides of the pages. Carey Kiwanis Club & Dorcas Carey Public Library present: Read Around the World! Children ages 0-13 can participate. Sign-ups are held at the library’s circulation desks. Any child that reads, or listens to, four (4) books will receive a ticket to the Kiwanis Pancake Day on Tuesday, March 7th. They will also receive a book to add to their home library.
The Teen Advisory Group is a group of dedicated junior high and high school students who are interested in making a difference at their library. TAG members play a critical role in developing the library’s young adult collection, young adult outreach, event planning and marketing, and making the library a friendlier place for young adults.
