Book Folding Class

Carmen Coppler will be showing off her unique talent of book folding.  Book Folding is the art of folding the pages within books to create 3D shapes. You can do relatively simple ones like a diamond or a heart, or super complicated ones like a bulldog silhouette or patterns done on all three sides of the pages. Kiwanis Read Around the World

Carey Kiwanis Club & Dorcas Carey Public Library present:  Read Around the World!  Children ages 0-13 can participate.  Sign-ups are held at the library’s circulation desks.  Any child that reads, or listens to, four (4) books will receive a ticket to the Kiwanis Pancake Day on Tuesday, March 7th.  They will also receive a book to add to their home library.

The Teen Advisory Group is a group of dedicated junior high and high school students who are interested in making a difference at their library.  TAG members play a critical role in developing the library’s young adult collection, young adult outreach, event planning and marketing, and making the library a friendlier place for young adults.

Unwind after school with a different activity every month – games, crafts, snacks and more!  Teen Time is the first Thursday of the month for grades 6 – 12.  This month’s activity will be a Valentine’s Party!

Come join in the cooking fun!  This program is for grades 6 through 12 and will take place the first Wednesday of the month September through May at 3:30 p.m.  This month’s project is:  Pizza Dough Demonstration & Make Your Own Pizza.
