Do you love LEGOs?  Patrons of all ages can go wild building on the 3^rd Tuesday of every month at 3:30 p.m., September through May.

This program will be held on the second Thursday of the month from September through May at 3:30 p.m.  Come enjoy the hands-on-experience of learning.  Children in grades 6 -12 are encouraged to join the learning fun!  This month’s project:  Flubber.  Please sign-up at the adult circulation desk or by phone at 419-396-7921 or 419-788-2768.

Unwind after school with a different activity every month – games, crafts, snacks and more!  Teen Time is the first Thursday of the month for grades 6 – 12 and runs September – May.   This month’s activity will be Monster Makeup and a Scavenger Hunt.

Dive into hands-on learning with fun activities built on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts! STEM for Teens & Tweens is held on the second Thursday of the month at 3:30 p.m. September through May. Students in grades 6–12 are welcome. This month's activity is creating an exothermic reaction with Ice Cream in a Bag! Sign up in person at Dorcas Carey Public Library or over the phone at 419-396-7921 and 419-788-2768.

Carmen Coppler will be showing off her unique talent of book folding.  Book Folding is the art of folding the pages within books to create 3D shapes. You can do relatively simple ones like a diamond or a heart, or super complicated ones like a bulldog silhouette or patterns done on all three sides of the pages.  Be sure to call the library at 419-396-7921 or 419-788-2768 to reserve your spots today!

The Teen Advisory Group is a group of dedicated junior high and high school students who are interested in making a difference at their library.  TAG members play a critical role in developing the library’s young adult collection, young adult outreach, event planning and marketing, and making the library a friendlier place for young adults.  This month we will be decorating the Tween/Teen Department for fall.
